Formed in 1985, Stephen French Database Design has over twenty years experience in the IT developer trade, with the focus on providing database and web design services to clients throughout the region. The company is situated in South East London. 75 per cent of successful database and web design is in achieving a deep understanding of what the client is and what it does: that means spending a lot of time talking to people and looking at what they do.
All the standard technologies for database and web design are used such as Microsoft Access and SQL Server databases, HTML / XHTML (for basic web pages), ASP (for dynamically-generated web pages), Javascript and VB (visual basic for data manipulation and programming). The overall approach to all web design is simplicity and easy navigation. Sites should be easy on the eye and clear to the user as to what they are trying to do, and no page on the site should be more than two clicks away (the "two-click" rule).
