The heart of the company's offering is the WebView asset management system, which provides live information and data about recovered ICT equipment through every stage of the asset recovery process. WebView is fully integrated with preferred data wiping software, Blancco Data Cleaner, ensuring both complete data deletion and profiling of hardware and software for asset register compliance.
Secure destruction of data can be provided via Blancco Data Cleaner or via physical destruction into tiny fragments, according to client preference. Blancco is accredited to HMG 1A Standard No. 5, whilst hardware destruction is carried out to UK government standards.
Sims provides clients with a choice of refurbishment of IT assets for redeployment and remarketing or mechanical dismantling and materials recycling, all to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Management standards. Sims is a Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher and can offer clients parts recovery for sale or spares.
Handling over 1.2 million ICT units each year, along with 180,000 tonnes of e-waste, Sims has the infrastructure and experience to service large companies, central and local government organisations and multinational corporations.
