Based in South Benfleet, Essex (less than an hour from the City of London), Ravenswood Consultants Ltd are Information Audit & Security consultants who were formed in 1996.
Led by the CEO & Principle Consultant, Dr. Derek J. Oliver, Ravenswood have performed IT Audits across the commercial and government spectrum including the financial and insurance sectors and the NHS.
In the Governance field, Ravenswood were project consultants for the implementation of a CobiT-based controls infrastructure across 87 countries. They are also specialists in the implementation of Information Security Management Systems to ISO27001 standards and have achieved certified compliance for a number of clients.
The company have also been responsible for the creation of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Dr. Oliver is a past President of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) in London, a past member of the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certification Board and is current Chairman of the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Test Enhancement Committee. His PhD in Information Security Management followed an MSc in Information Technology. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) a Level 3 Certified Health Informatics Practitioner, a Chartered IT Practitioner (CITP) and a Fellow of the British Computer Society, the Institute of IT Service Management and the Institute of Analysts & Programmers.
