Formed in 2006, Layercom Network Design and Installation Ltd. is a Cabling provider based in Gateshead, Tyne And Wear. They specialise in the design and installation of wired and wireless computer networks. They install all of the components that would be necessary for the infrastructure of a high speed computer network which could be wired or wireless.
For a wired network Layercom would design and install everything from the cat5e or cat6 cabling from the patch panels in the Comms Room to the Data outlets situated at your desk, on your factory floor or in your classroom.
In addition to having the normal things such as computers, printers, faxes and telephones attached to the computer network, layercom are able to add such things such as wireless access points to enable staff or guests to access the internet. Another wireless option available is to provide a wireless bridge between 2 buildings, doing this your network would then be available in both buildings. Other items that could be added to your network by Layercom are Smartboard Interactive Whiteboards, IP CCTV which consists of a recordable DVR and cameras which are viewable anywhere that has internet access.
