Green Magnet Ltd is a Hampshire (Fareham) based waste management company specialising in the collection and secure recycling/disposal of Computer and electronic equipment (WEEE). Green Magnet specialise in providing businesses and organisations with a route to securely disposing of redundant, outdated and broken IT/Telecoms/Electrical assets whilst complying with the WEEE Directive, The Environmental Protection Act, and The Data Protection Act. Green Magnet’s primary goal is to deliver against the three key issues for organisations when recycling IT equipment: Compliance, Data Security & Corporate Social Responsibility. This is acheived through strong links with The Environment Agency, stringent data management and erasure processes and strong environmental ethics. Once equipment has been collected Green Magnet will explore a number of recycling strategies including original purpose reuse, component separation and base materials recovery. In doing so, Green Magnet is able to consistently achieve a recycling ratio of around 98%. Green Magnet is approved by The Environment Agency as a Licensed Waste Carrier, Authorised Treatment Facility and operates a strict zero export policy.
