FILEstream Ltd is a Berkshire-based specialist developer and distributor of FILEstream Document Management software. FILEstream was originally developed by Lectus Ltd., an office equipment supplier established in the 1980’s. The success of FILEstream software led to the sale of the office equipment business and the establishment of FILEstream Ltd.
FILEstream Ltd has a close relationship with Panasonic Business Systems, and its FILEstream document management software has been developed with the involvement of Panasonic.
The Panasonic Workio range of office equipment is now promoted with FILEstream, and the Panasonic dealer network is promoting FILEstream alongside its business equipment range.
Products
FILEstream is available as a standalone or networked solution. It is an electronic filing system that will accommodate paperwork as scanned images, and existing electronic file types. Over 300 file formats can be viewed within FILEstream even if the associated application is not resident on that PC. This can be a useful feature for offices using expensive specialist software, such as CAD.
Emails and any attachments can be imported directly into FILEstream via an Office add-in feature. Other document types (included an organisations standard documents) can be created and captured by FILEstream as long as the application is present
